Traditions
"sixty years of giving . . ."

The Holy Spirit tradition of giving has been present since 1947 when its first school opened. That legacy of giving has built a community with bonds that have lasted sixty years.

"teachers donate 40% of their salary . . ."

In the early years, devotion to their calling prompted religious and lay teachers to donate much of their time as well as many teaching materials for their students. Today, that tradition continues. Teachers donate an average of forty percent of their teaching salary compared with salaries of their public school counterparts. And they still purchase many of their own classroom materials. Just as in 1947, teachers do this because of their belief in their ministry.

"parents are the backbone . . . "

Parents have their own history of giving, from the early days of mothers’ clubs to the modern Home & School organization. Since the very beginning, parents have been the backbone of supporting classroom teachers; raising funds for programs, student aid and salaries; and giving generous gifts of their own.

Your gift
"prayer, helping hands and money"

Tuition alone does not cover all that encompasses a Holy Spirit education. We continue to rely on generous gifts from each parent, alumnus and friend, gifts of prayer, gifts of helping hands, and gifts of money. With your help, we will continue our recognized excellence and even surpass it!

Learn more about ways of giving to Holy Spirit by browsing this website. You will see what a difference your gifts of time and dollars make to teaching and learning at Holy Spirit.
